RTP

This protocol does not provide a complete VoIP protocol – it is only used for sending the voice information; it is used by both SIP and H.323 for voice transmission. It stands for Real Time Protocol, and can actually be used for a lot more than VoIP; it is a general streamed media protocol. In addition to supporting voice this protocol also supports video transmission.
