Purchase Articulation

In order to remove the call time restriction from Articulation you must purchase a registration key. Upon completing your payment, you will be emailed with a registration code that can be used to unlock Articulation. Your purchase also entitles you to free upgrades as and when they become available.

Important

You must test Articulation before purchasing to ensure the voice quality is acceptable; your particular network configuration may not be fast enough or suitable for a VoIP application. Best results will be obtained over a WiFi network or a short range Bluetooth connection to a LAN.

Wireless communication using the mobile telephone network often involves cost based on the amount of bandwidth used. A 3 minute 10 second call (using the GSM codec) can use up to 1Mb of data. Check with your carrier for more information.

Calling Plans

For calling plans we recommend InPhonex. You can sign up for a Basic account for free in order to test Articulation (dial 600 for an echo test) - this also allows you to call other InPhonex users for free. You can upgrade to a pay as you go account any time allowing you to take advantage of competitive call rates to PSTN phones.

The Articulation account settings for InPhonex are (example shown on the right):

  • Server: sip.inphonex.com
  • Domain: inphonex.com
  • Display: Your Name
  • User: Your 7-digit Inphonex logon
  • Password: Your Inphonex password

Note that the service is based in the USA and numbers are dialled as you would for the US. For example, if you live in the UK, to dial a UK number you need to dial 011 44 first (011 being the US international dialling code and 44 being the UK country code). The next version of Articulation will include a feature to simplify dialling prefix codes.
